A greenhouse built just a few years ago, with a round transparent skylight in the roof. Beneath this semi-open garden bed lie many who once lived here, wrapped in a special moss, sleeping peacefully in the fertile soil. At night, that faintly glowing moss pushes up through the earth to chew on the moonlight, scattering its nourishment among the herbs and flowers throughout the greenhouse.

A single eye-burrowing worm undergoes one parasitic cycle by differentiating into three forms: the membrane worm, the brain worm, and the spine worm. | Before entering the body it takes the shape of a nematode; once inside, the entire body splits into four thin membrane-like sections that wrap around the host's eyeball — transparent as a contact lens. The host initially feels as though a foreign object has entered the eye, but vision remains normal. This stage is known as the "Membrane Phase".
